Introduction
GENESIS is a set of on-chain services for smart contracts on Elysium. Each one replaces "trust the operator" with something a contract or a user can check for themselves.
| Product | Use it for | Why you can trust it |
|---|---|---|
| VRF | Games, NFT traits, lotteries, any on-demand randomness | Every output carries an ECVRF proof that is verified on-chain |
| Randomness Beacon | Shared public randomness, no request needed | Each round is a VRF output over the previous round |
| Fair Selection | Raffles, allowlists, juries, airdrops | Entrants are frozen before the seed exists, and winners are a public function of the seed |
| Commit–Reveal | Group randomness, sealed bids, secret votes | The result stays unpredictable while one participant is honest |
| Automation | Scheduled or condition-based contract calls | Keepers are staked, and triggers are re-checked on-chain |
| Data Oracle | Prices and other off-chain data | A threshold of independent signatures, then the median |
Paying for services
Fees are paid in HYPE, Elysium's native coin, or in the GENESIS token once it launches on ElysiumPad. GENESIS is always the cheaper option. See Payments & pricing.
